The Aulds Junior Trophy 2005 |

The future of Bowling in the district is bright going by the skills and dedication shown by the youngsters who played in this year's Gourock Park Juniors Competition. My personal thanks to everyone at Gourock Park who helped make the day so successful. The Final was due to be played over 9 ends, but it was decided to cut it to just 7 due to the heavy rain. It was a close game with Gary Mc Hugh up against Gavin Piggott. As they went into the last end it as all square at six shots all. It was Gary who claimed victory though with a single to take the title. Three of Gourock Park's Kids made the Quarter-Finals and should be proud of this acheivement, they are Michael Monkhouse, John Reid and Clare Miller. The other beaten quarter-finalist was Chris Martin from Rothesay. Ashley Johnstone of Rankin Park and Sam Parkins from Ardbeg made the Semi-Finals. Well done to all the Kids involved |
