Friday 23rd. saw the cream of Grosvenor battle it out for the three (four Bowl) Championship Titles.

Tommy Kane took on Roy Stewart in the Premier event and, having been there before, proved that experience counted. The game was pretty tight, although the score suggests otherwise, and Tommy ran out the victor 21 - 14.

The Presidents Final was between John Freeburn and Harry Hyslop and was deemed to be a bit of a clash of characters. Harry started off well with a three at the first end, but only succeeded in getting the "Big Man" annoyed. John responded by taking the next five ends with a 4-2-1-3-2, to lead 12-3. The game settled down and ends were shared until 16-7, when John trailed the jack for a three, to make it 19-7. Harry dug deep and played the better of the two, to retrieve 4 shots. Although John was playing the more consistent bowls, Harry was getting his last "bool" in to cut down. Eventually John ran out the winner 21-12.

The Vice Presidents Final was between Duncan McLean and Hugh Munro. Duncan was the favourite to win, and didn't let anybody down. He led from start to finish. Duncan is probably the best lead in the Club and is a born winner. The result of 21-11 is no disgrace to Hughie, Duncan grabbed the "bool" by the horns and WON-end of story.

There was a good turnout of supporters and they were well entertained, all in all it was a good night, for some more than others.
