The Scottish Bowling Association District 23 Finals were played at Gourock Park on thursday the 1st of June. The Results are as follows-


Junior Singles-----Dougie Twaddle(Gourock Park) defeated Raymond Swankie(Gourock)  by 21 shots to 18

Singles----Mick Mc Cauley (Wellington) defeated Peter Boyle
(Lady Alice)
by 21 shots to 10

Pairs---Freddie Kimmins and Brian Mc Alees (Port Glasgow)
defeated Terry Duffy and Ian Brown
(Gourock Park by 14 shots to 13

Triples---K Mc Cance,G Mc Alliater and J Kelly (Bishopton)
defeated M Barr,J Guy and R Wright
(Kilmacolm) by 13 shots to 11

Fours---J Robb,H Bunten,D Mc Cormack and D Stewart(Fort Matilda) defeated E Docherty,G McIlmoyll,J Mc Ewan and S Carr (Port Glasgow) by 13 shots to12

Senior Fours---D English,W Douglas,E Shearer and J.O Neil
(Wellington) defeated J Black,P Boyle,H Kendall and J Bain
(Ardgowan) by 16 shots to 11

The Winners then moved on to the next stage of the competition,which was played at Gourock Bowling Club on the 11th June .   See below pictures for these results

Singles--Mick Mc Cauley Wellington Park won against Ian McIntyre Bogleha  21 v 11

Pairs-- Brian McAlees & Freddie Kimmins Port Glasgow won against Stephen Scott & Andrew Weir Bogleha 18 v 14

Triples  Bishopton won against Rothesay 11 v 10

Fours-- Fort Matilda won against Rothesay 18 v 16

Senior Fours--Wellington lost to Bogleha 10 v 13

The above Winners went through to the Scottish Finals at Northfield in Ayr  5th-8th August 2000
