Following last year's Indoor Challenge match with our neighbours, Gourock Bowling Club, both Clubs have decided to make this an annual event. This year the game will take place on the 30th December at Inverclyde Indoor Club. Full report and pictures will be added to the site soon after.
I will be trying to put the Prizewinners lists from other Clubs from Season 2002 on the site, i already have the Grosvenor's and these will appear on the site soon. I would be obliged if anyone can supply me with the lists from any of the other Greenock & District Clubs.
More of the Photographs taken at our Prize Dance will be placed on the site within the next few weeks.

The Inverclyde Senior Fours Champions rink of Tom Forbes, Jimmy Bradley, Ian Loughran & Alistair Black, will play this coming weekend in the Scottish Finals to be played at Richard Corsies indoor stadium at Edinburgh, i was hoping to go through and report on how they get on, but at time of writing, i still do not have time off work to travel through. Hopefully they will make it through saturday's game and I can be there to get a report from the Final on the sunday. All the best guys!
Site re-construction to have the site ready for the forthcoming season has been rather slow over the last few weeks, i just have not had the time to spend any amount of time on creating the new pages that are needed and most of the work I have been doing is all in the background at the moment, i hope to spend around 20 hours a week over the next few months to try and get everything in place and I hope you will like the new layouts and banners that will be appearing. As its our 75th anniversary year, i am hoping to gather as much information regarding the history of the Club since its conception way back in 1927. This is where I am looking for your help! If anyone has anything articles, newspaper cuttings, photos, memories, statistics etc of the Club i would really appreciate it if you could get in touch At time of writing its still unclear as what is to happen to the existing Greenock & District leagues set up. From what I have heard the Hillend are struggling to have enough players to enter a team, and the proposed suggestion that they join forces with Skelmorlie is a non-starter. |
Inverclyde's Indoor Senior fours have won through to the Final in the Scottish indoor championships at Richard Corsie's Stadium in Edinburgh. They defeated Elgin in a close fought encounter which went right down to the replayed final end, after it was burnt by the men from the north. The Rink consisting of Tom Forbes, Jimmy Bradley, Ian Loughran and Alistair Black, are due to commence play at 12 noon on Sunday 19th, report and pictures will be here tomorrow night.
Site update news!!! Due to unexpected problems with the new software that I have been using over the last few weeks, re-construction will be delayed as I have now reverted back to using my orginal software, as I have found that its functions are far more suited to my work. The downside of this that any work I have done over the last few weeks has been deleted
Partners in Play Website! Some of you will have noticed that when you open the 'quiz' page on this site that a new window opens containing a fun page and quiz from my good friend, Ann Marie. I hope those of you who do the quiz, will try this one too, if only to see how bad I do in the rankings each week.
