This Years Trophy was Contested by Andy Kearns and Newcomer,Archie Forbes.The Poll on this Site had both players with 50% of the vote. The game started with Andy going into the lead 4 - 0 after the 1st four ends.Archie then fought back with 3 singles to make the score 4 - 3 to Andy.The next three ends went to Andy with two singles and a double before Archie gained a shot in the 11th end to make the score 8 - 4 to Andy.Archie slipped up badly in the 12th end,losing a four making the score 12 - 4 to his opponent.Andy was now playing confidently and further increased the lead to 18 - 7 by the 18th end.Archie knew that he now had to reduce the score if he was to have any chance of catching his opponent and indeed he did by gaining 5 shots over the next four ends to reduce the score to 18 - 12. It was not to be Archies night though as Andy took a deep breath and won the match with single shots in the 23rd 24th and 25th Ends
